Mothers of PreSchoolers (MOPS)

MOPS is about ...

  • Celebrating motherhood
  • Meeting needs
  • Making Connections
  • Experiencing God’s love...through relationships and resources.

MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.

Locally MOPS strives to provide a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young children.

The coordinator for the MOPS chapter at the Waynesville United Methodist Church is Sarah Parker. She can be reached by calling 774-0319.

MOPS meetings are held the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month from 9:00-11:30 am at the Waynesville United Methodist Church. The steering committee meets on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of each month from 9:00-11:00 am.

MOPPET workers are always needed and welcome. What are MOPPET workers? They are caring and loving people who share their time and talents to watch the children while the mothers are in the meetings. Additionally, MOPPET workers will earn $10 per meeting. Please call Sarah to learn more.
