Meet Me At The Well
On November 27, 2011 A goal of $10,000 was set to provide a well for our sister church, Central United Methodist in Machuquele, Mozambique. The gift of a well was seen as a way to draw much needed water to provide for the basic needs of the people there. We encouraged everyone to spend less this Christmas so that others may drink living water. Our challenge to spend less this Christmas on gifts people don't want or need and give what we saved to provide living water for the people of Machaquele has resulted in a total offering to date of $16,133.00 and growing! The gift of water is gushing and overflowing from Africa into our own community as we seek ways to reach others through community benevolence. The generosity of all is greatly appreciated.

Purple was the color reserved for royalty in Biblical times. The dye required to make purple material was scarce so it was reserved for royalty. Purple is used in the church today to symbolize royalty during Advent, a time in the church year when the church prepares for the coming of Jesus the King.
The grapes in the banner refers to John 15:5 which states "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." (NIV)
