Wednesday Night Live: Food, Fun & Fellowship

WNL classes will be conducted from 7-8 p.m. except for Disciple classes and Youth Group which will begin at 6:15 p.m.  Dinners will be on hiatus, so please eat before you come.  Our regular class schedule will resume Aug 4; however, meals will not start again until Sept 1.  The current schedule of classes is:

Disciple Short Studies – Join Rev. Cindy Dack in these two eight-week studies: An Invitation to the Old Testament and An Invitation to the New Testament.  These in-depth studies will run back-to-back.  Take one or both!  If you take both, this will be considered the same as Disciple I.  We are beginning with the Old Testament in Room 212.  Class ends at 7:45 p.m.

Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon – The study book helps students answer the question, “What does the Bible say?”  The meaning of the passage is made clear by considering such aspects as ancient customs, locations of places, and the meanings of words.  Students connect the meaning of the Scripture with their own lives.  Join Ed Conley in Room 103.

Disciple II “Into the Word, Into the World”– For graduates of Disciple I.  Join Greg Olsen in Room 204.

New Combined Children’s Class, K-6th – Cooking through the Bible with Beth Murray in Fellowship Hall from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. during the summer

July 4th Celebration

Sunday, The 4th of July is fast approaching and you need to make plans right now to invite all your friends and bring a lawn chair to a fantastic celebration of freedom with pyrotechnics provided by the United Methodist Men.  There will be refreshments starting at 8 p.m. and the fireworks will start when it gets dark.  It will be a great evening of fun for the whole family of God..

Back To School Fair

Our church supports the Missouri Ozark Community Action (MOCA) Back-to-School Fair.  Believe it or not, the first day of school is fast approaching.  This year we will support the area children by collecting scissors for grade school students.  Our goal is to collect 300 scissors by July 25th.  Yes we can!  Plastic tubs will be available on either side of the Missions in Action table in the Welcome Center.

Puppeteers

God’s Puppeteers will be hosting a Valentine’s brunch with a yogurt and cereal bar and yummy muffins on Sunday, Feb 14  Grab some goodies on your way to Sunday School.  The puppets will be performing some of your favorite love songs, too!  We are collecting donations to help us purchase equipment for Black Light Puppetry.  The Black Light Puppets  will present God’s message in a dynamic way that you won’t forget.  Thank you for your Support.  Puppet practice is each Sunday from 10:15 - 11:15.  Beth Murray during the Sunday School hour.

FREE Monthly Community Breakfast

God's Pantry

For July is Meat Spaghetti Sauce, Thin Spaghetti, Cake Mix (water only), and Frosting. Thanks for your generous support of this ministry to help those who are less fortunate.
